The Airports Security Force (ASF) celebrated its 49th Raising Day today with zeal, dignity, and patriotic spirit at the Headquarters as well as all airports and units across the country.

The day commenced with recitation of the Holy Qur’an and special prayers for the security, stability, and prosperity of Pakistan and for the safety of its airports. Later, graceful flag-hoisting ceremonies were held at all garrisons and units, followed by the reading of a special message from the Director General ASF by Chief Security Officers and Officers Commanding.

In his message, Director General ASF Major General Shoaib bin Akram, Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-i-Basalat, stated: “The nation takes great pride in the professionalism, dedication, and integrity of ASF. The professional excellence of ASF has been recognized not only at the national level but also internationally. With a legacy spanning over five decades, this force has been successfully safeguarding the country’s airports, passengers’ lives and property, and critical installations.”

The DG further highlighted that although the current global and national security environment is marked by uncertainty and threats of terrorism and subversive activities, Pakistan’s airports remain secure due to the relentless hard work and commitment of ASF personnel. He added that ASF’s training system is being modernized along contemporary lines, while its personnel are being equipped with state-of-the-art security technology and equipment to effectively counter emerging challenges.

Reaffirming ASF’s unwavering commitment, the Director General emphasized: “On this day, let us pledge to perform our duties with greater dedication, hard work, and integrity, and to make the nation’s airports safer than ever—sparing no sacrifice in the line of duty.”
