Major General Shoaib Bin Akram, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-e-Basalat assumed command as Director General Airports Security Force on 13 September 2025. He was commissioned in 23 Frontier Force Regiment on 15 April 1994. A graduate of Command & Staff College Quetta and National Defence University Islamabad. He has held a wide spectrum of command, staff, and instructional appointments during an illustrious military career spanning over three decades. Besides commanding his parent unit and Infantry Brigades, he commanded 10 Division before assuming appointment of Director General ASF. His staff experience includes service as Brigade Major at an Infantry Brigade and later as GSO-1 (Operations) at the Military Intelligence Directorate, General Headquarters. In the instructional domain, he has been on the faculty of PMA Kakul, School of Infantry & Tactics Quetta and Command & Staff College Quetta. He also represented Pakistan at the international level as Defence Advisor at the High Commission of Pakistan in Australia and New Zealand, advancing the country’s military interests on the diplomatic front.
