Major Taimoor Ali Awan assumed his appointment as Director Intelligence, Airports Security Force on 12 December 2025. He was commissioned in the 4 Medium Regiment Artillery on 21 April 2012 after graduating from 125 PMA Long Course. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Military Arts and Science from NUST.
During his professional career, he has attended the Military Police Course from the Corps of Military Police School and the Intelligence Staff Course from the School of Military Intelligence, equipping him with specialized expertise in security, intelligence, and law enforcement domains.
Major Taimoor Ali Awan has held a diverse range of command, staff, and operational appointments. His command experience includes commanding a Military Police Unit of a Division, while he also served as Second-in-Command of an Artillery Regiment. His staff experience includes appointment as Staff Captain of an Infantry Brigade.
He has extensive operational exposure, having served in active operation areas along the Western Border, South Waziristan, and Dera Bugti, contributing to counterterrorism and internal security operations. Additionally, he served for two years with the Strategic Planning Division, gaining experience in strategic-level planning and national security matters.
With 16 years of distinguished military service, Major Taimoor Ali Awan brings a blend of operational acumen, intelligence expertise, and strategic insight to his current appointment as Director Intelligence, ASF.
